We participate in numerous proficiency testing surveys as well as monitor key process and technical indicators through one of the most stringent quality assurance and control programs in use anywhere. S.E.D. Medical Laboratories has been accredited by the College of American Pathologists (CAP) since 1979. Based on our most recent on-site inspection by the Commission on Laboratory Accreditation of the College of American Pathologists, S.E.D. was “Accredited with Distinction”.

Forensic Toxicology

S.E.D. Medical Laboratories has been certified by the Department of Health and Human Services/Substance Abuse Mental Health Services Administration (DHHS/SAMHSA), formerly National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA), since December 1990. S.E.D. has been accredited by the College of American Pathologists - Forensic Urine Drug Testing (CAP-FUDT) since July 1988.
